Abstract: A method for determining the total p-, m-cresols in cigarette smoke was developed with the liquid-liquid micro-extraction and gas chromatography. The capillary column HP-35MS (30m×0.25mm i.d.×0.25μm d.f.) and flame ionization detector were used. The recovery of p-cresol standard was within the range of 95.07%~97.55% and its RSD was about 4.22%.
