Abstract: The constitution,functions,characteristics and working procedure of IC card system in household register management in tobacco production were introduced.The IC card system included tobacco leaf general management system,IC card,IC card reader-writer and purchase terminal,its main functions were IC card management,technical service, materials distribution,tobacco leaf purchase,examination and supervision.IC cards were centrally managed by tobacco company,one tobacco farmer household owned one card in place of tobacco planting contract.Only those farmers, who owned the IC cards were eligible to accept the technical guide and service provided by the tobacco company, purchase materials and sell tobacco. IC card was convenient,confidential, and well accepted.
