Abstract: The curing trials of oriental tobacco were conducted by using 5 kinds of plastic film with different colors as barn cover, the results showed that the film color had obviously effects on curing process:1) the film color had obvious effects on the temperature inside the barn, and some effects on leaf weight; 2) the color, brilliance and the ratio of grade A to grade B of leaves cured under light color film was better than that under dark color film; 3) the total sugar, reducing sugar, nicotine and starch contents showed no obvious rule in cured leaves of two different stalk positions, it indicated that the chemical components in leaf could not be changed by color film. The color of plastic film could be chosen according to the site condition of curing barn.
