Abstract: In order to find out main impedimental factors in soils and make the purpose of flue-cured tobacco fertilization definite, the pH value and available nutrients content of 268 soil samples collected from Sanming tobaccogrowing areas were determined.The results showed that the range of soil pH value was from 4.6 to 7.5 in Sanming tobacco-growing areas, the ratio of acidic soil among samples was 89.55%.The pH value correlated significantly or very significantly with alkali-hydrolyzale N, rapidly available K, exchangeable Ca, exchangeable Mg, available Zn, water-soluble B, and active Mn.The concentration of Ca、Mg and B in low pH value soil were lower because of high soil acidity.Therefore basic fertilizers, such as lime and calcium magnesium phosphate should be applied to adjust soil acidity and increase the availability of soil nutrients.K, Mg and B fertilizers should be complemented.
