Abstract: Maryland tobacco was extracted in Soxhlet apparatus with ethanol and cyclohexane as the main solvent. Then the extract was filtered, concentrated, and added into cigarettes as casing.The panel test of the cigarettes was conducted.The results indicated that the aroma and taste of cigarette were improved, the concentration was enhanced, the offensive odor was mashed, and the aftertaste was clean by addition of the extract.
