Abstract:
Production technology, characteristic (including appearance, physical properties, chemical components, major aroma constituents, sensory evaluation), and proportion of two domestic and one foreign paper-process tobacco sheets in cigarette blends were compared. Some problems related to manufacturing quality of domestic tobacco sheets were analyzed. The analytic results showed that although the physical properties, major chemical components, and tar deliveries of domestic and foreign tobacco sheets were comparable, the content of key aroma constituents in the two domestic tobacco sheets was lower than that in the foreign one and the smoking taste of domestic tobacco sheets was not as good as that of the foreign one. Improvements of the production technology and equipment of domestic paper-process tobacco sheet were suggested.
