Abstract:
In order to provide the references for proper selection of tobacco leaf in low tar cigarette design, the determination and comparison of the static burning rate of several Chinese and Zimbabwean flue-cured tobacco leaves were conducted. The results showed that for the same grade tobacco, the combustibilities of Guizhou B2F, Yongxing C2F of Hunan, Boli C2L of Heilongjiang, Qianyang X2F and B2L of Sichuan, and Daozhen X2L of Guizhou were better.Among all determined tobaccos, the static burning rate of Daozhen X2L was highest, 5.645mm/min, and that of Zhengyang B2F was lowest, 2.950mm/min.For Zimbabwean tobacco, the static burning rates of all tested tobacco leaves were moderate except for B2O, which had a higher static burning rate.
