Abstract: The correlations among hardness, draw resistance and cigarette weight were analyzed and the relative factors influencing these parameters and the rule of variation were discussed. The results showed that 1)the hardness of cigarette was increased with the increase of cigarette weight when the filling power of cut filler was constant, 2)the cigarette weight was decreased with the increase of the filling power of cut filler when the hardness of cigarette was constant, 3)at the same cigarette weight, the higher the filling power, the greater the hardness of cigarette, 4)the draw resistance of cigarette was increased with the increase of unit weight and hardness of cigarette.
