Abstract: Pot experiments were carried out to study the effects of the seedlings cultured in different ways on growth and development of tobacco plant during the field period (from transplanting to budding). The results showed that there were differences in growth powers of root, stem and leaf at each stage of the field period, the general trend of growth powers was as follows:at earlier stage, nourishing-bag seedlings > tray seedlings > floating seedlings; at la ter stage, tray seedlings > floating seedlings > nourishing-bag seedlings;while budding, nourishing-bag seedlings=tray seedlings > floating seedlings.
