Abstract:
3-year fixed-site field trial was conducted to study the influence of continuous cropping on the yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco. The results showed that 1)the growth vigor of tobacco plant, yield, output value, average price, and the proportion of the superior and medium tobacco leaves after continuous cropping were significantly decreased;2)while continuous cropping had negative effect on chemical components and smoking quality of tobacco, the effect lagged behind that on the growth of tobacco plant, yield and output value; and 3)the 3 tested measures had little effect on improving the continuous cropped field.
