Abstract: 26 varieties of 4 tobacco types were investigated for detecting germination characters of seeds.Tobacco seeds germination characters were relative stable and concentrative during early stage, and the concentrated germination periods were in the first 48 hours.There were obviously differences of seed germination rates and their standard deviation among the tobacco varieties.Logistic curves could be used to describe cumulative germination rates of the tobacco variety seeds tested, but both gradients and inflection points were different among the varieties.
