Abstract:
Experiments on the addition of fiber into rolled reconstituted tobacco were conducted. A new defibrination process, dry material mixing duration, wet material blending time, agitation speed, and amount of water added were studied. The content of fiber added in the rolled reconstituted tobacco could be up to 15%. The physical properties of the rolled reconstituted tobacco added fiber, such as appearance, tensile strength, flexibility, folding resistance, and processing endurance were better than that of tobacco sheet without adding fiber.
