Abstract:
The growth, development and adaptability to water of three flue-cured tobacco cultivars, such as NC89, K346, and K358 under drought conditions were studied in pot experiments. The results showed that drought-resistance of K346 was the best in the three cultivars and its root/shoot ratio was higher than NC89 and lower than K358, and the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD), peroxidase(POD)and IAAase in K346 were also higher, but the growth vigor of K358 was stronger than those of K346 and NC89 after elimination of drought stress.
