Abstract:
Deliveries of cigarette smoke were tested under different smoking regimes such as various puffing duration, alternation and butt length. The results showed that amounts of tar, nicotine and CO delivered were increased obviously with shortening puffing alternation and decreased significantly with increasing butt length. The relationships of tar, nicotine and CO deliveries with puffing duration, alternation and butt length were obtained by regression analysis.A viewpoint was proposed that the total mainstream smoke delivery was a general index for different smoking regimes.Effects of different smoking habits on the deliveries of cigarette smoke were also discussed.
