Abstract:
The volatile, semi-volatile acidic components in tobacco were extracted by using simultaneous distillation and extraction equipment. They were determined by GC and GC/MS without derivation. Nineteen acidic components were identified. And these acidic components were determined quantitatively. The repeatability and recovery of some acidic components were discussed. This method is suitable to determine the volatile, semi-volatile acidic components that contain no less than six carbon atoms. These acidic components include some important flavor constitutes, such as β-methylvaleric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid and linolenic acid.
