Abstract: The reasons causing the interruption of tobacco feeding in the metering tobacco feeder were analyzed, the device was improved as following:1) increasing driving power of the feeder;2) improving the performance of spiker of elevating belt;3) adding a manual control switch to the horizontal belt for tobacco feeding control;4) improving the reliability of tobacco state monitoring.After improving, the frequency of feeding interruption decreased from 12/month to < 2/month.
