Abstract:
To study the coal strength of a burning cigarette,a rotational device for measuring hot coal fallout propensity(HCFP) was designed.The factors affecting the measurement of HCFP were determined through the mechanical analysis of hot coal in the process of rotation movement.Based on that,the effects of rotational speed,burning line of cigarette and duration of rotation on HCFP were investigated,the results showed that the value of HCFP raised with the increase of rotational speed,the distance between burning line and lit end and the duration of uniform rotation.The effects of the content of combustion improver in cigarette paper on HCFP were also investigated,which indicated that with the increase of combustion improver content,the value of HCFP increased.The method could reflect the index of HCFP,the extreme difference between the results of two tests was 7.5%.
