Abstract:
In order to improve the quality of paper-making process reconstituted tobacco sheet (RTS), the effects of ammonium polyphosphate (APP) on the pyrolysis-combustion characteristics and sensory quality of RTS were investigated. The results showed that:1) The thermal degradation of both RTS and ARTS (APP-containing RTS) consisted of five stages. The application of APP did not change thermal degradation process, but obviously lowered the weight loss rate of RTS at the second (200-280℃), third (280-370℃) and fourth (370-670℃) thermal degradation stages. 2) The main gases released during the pyrolysis of RTS and ARTS were H
2O, CO
2, CO, NH
