Abstract: In order to minimize the wrinkled cigarettes produced at the deflector plate in the elevating passage of YF17 cigarette storing and conveying system, the plate was replaced by a flexible flapper of stainless steel wire mesh, and a collating belt of canvas was added, the solid connection at the top of elevating passage was changed into a flexible connection, which reduced the cigarette being squeezed at the deflector plate. The results of application showed that after improvement, the proportion of wrinkled cigarette decreased by 1.5 percentage point leaving YF17 cigarette storing and conveying system, and the appearance quality of cigarette was improved.
