Determination of benzoapyrene in mainstream cigarette smoke by on-line gel permeation chromatography-gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry

摘要: To determine benzoapyrene (BaP) release in mainstream cigarette smoke, the extract of mainstream cigarette smoke particulate matter was directly analyzed by using on-line gel permeation chromatography-gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GPC-GC-MS/MS). The results showed that: 1) the limit of detection and limit of quantification for BaP was 0.083 and 0.28 ng·cig-1, respectively. The recovery was in the range from 86.4% to 104.5%, and the intra- and inter-day relative standard deviations (RSDs) were less than 4.5% and 5.7%, respectively, illustrating the proposed GPC-GC-MS/MS method met the requirements of real sample analysis. 2)No significant deviation was observed between the proposed GPC-GC-MS/MS method and the Chinese national standard method for the analysis of BaP in mainstream cigarette smoke. 3)The proposed GPC-GC-MS/MS method showed the advantages of high effectiveness, high automation degree, easy operation, and low consumption of organic solvents.Abstract: To determine benzoapyrene (BaP) release in mainstream cigarette smoke, the extract of mainstream cigarette smoke particulate matter was directly analyzed by using on-line gel permeation chromatography-gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GPC-GC-MS/MS).
