Abstract:
To achieve easy and accurate adjustment of the diamond stylus in the grind wheel dresser, the grind wheel dresser in the SQ35 tobacco cutter was modified. A ball point set screw is used to prevent the diamond stylus from rotating in the axial direction during axial feed, and springs are added to the feed thread sleeve and the diamond stylus to eliminate the clearance between the thread pair, thereby reducing the axial feed error of the diamond stylus. A rotating support and a detachable positioning component are designed so that the new diamond stylus can be placed to its initial position by a simple positioning operation. Finite element simulation results indicated that the strength and resonance characteristics of the modified device met the application requirements. The modified grind wheel dresser was tested on an SQ356 tobacco stem cutter and an SQ351 tobacco strip cutter. The results showed that after the modification of the grind wheel dresser, the average time for adjusting and replacing the diamond stylus was reduced by 65.7% and 69.4%, respectively. This technology supports the promotion of tobacco cutter maintenance efficiency.
