Application of near-infrared diffuse-transflective spectroscopy technology in quality control of tobacco casings

  • The stability of the preparation quality of tobacco casings was evaluated by near-infrared spectroscopy combined with multivariate statistical analysis. Based on the near-infrared diffuse-transflective spectral data of tobacco casings, the classification models of six brands of casings were established by principal component analysis-Mahalanobis distance (PCA-MD) method, and the multivariate statistical process monitoring models of quality stability for casings of different batches were established by using Mahalanobis distance as evaluation index. The results showed that: 1) The classification models could identify different brands of tobacco casings. 2) Setting the Mahalanobis distance threshold as average Mahalanobis distance +3σ could effectively monitor the preparation quality for tobacco casings from batches of the same brand. This method could effectively realize the rapid detection and evaluation of the preparation quality of tobacco casings.
