Device for Shaping Six Sides of Special Cigarette Packet

The shaping device in CH over wrapper is not able to match cigarette packets with special shape, therefore a device for shaping six sides of special cigarette packet was designed.The control system of the designed device was composed of a PLC, four two-position five-way solenoid valves and a three-position four-way manual valve. Heaters driven by cylinders heated the film wrapping on the six sides of a packet. The results showed that the film heating and shaping was automatically completed, the shaping efficiency was improved, the film wrinkling or loosely wrapping packet was eliminated, and the rejected defective packets decreased from 27 to4 packet/shift.
