Effects of Biochar Application Rate on Net Photosynthetic Rate and Aroma Component Content of Flue-cured Tobacco Leaves

  • Field experiments were carried out to study the effects of biochar application rates(0, 300, 600 and 900 kg/ha) on the net photosynthetic rate, aroma component content and economic traits of flue-cured tobacco leaves. The results showed that with the increase of biochar application rate, the net photosynthetic rate, Maillard reaction product and aromatic amino acid catabolite contents of tobacco leaves increased, and leaf yield raised significantly; the carotenoid catabolite and total aroma component contents increased first and then decreased. At the biochar application rate of 600 kg/ha, the net photosynthetic rate and Maillard reaction product content were higher, and the carotenoid catabolite, aromatic amino acid catabolite and total aroma component contents of tobacco leaves and net income were the highest.
