Population dynamics of Myzus persicae (Sulzer) in Hanzhong tobacco planting areas and control effects of Aphidius gifuensis Ashmead

  • To clarify the control effects of Aphidius gifuensis Ashmead on Myzus persicae (Sulzer), the population dynamics of Myzus persicae (Sulzer) in Hanzhong tobacco planting areas during 2014-2016, the control effects of Aphidius gifuensis Ashmead on Myzus persicae (Sulzer) and tobacco cucumber mosaic virus were systematically investigated. The results showed that the population dynamic curves of wingless and winged aphids were both bimodal. After releasing Aphidius gifuensis Ashmead, the treatments of releasing Aphidius gifuensis Ashmead showed good control effects. The treatment of releasing twice Aphidius gifuensis Ashmead with applying once insecticide had the best control effect on Myzus persicae (Sulzer), and the incidence and disease index of tobacco cucumber mosaic virus under this treatment were significantly lower than the treatment of applying insecticide alone, indicated Aphidius gifuensis Ashmead had the control effect on tobacco cucumber mosaic virus.
