Design of winnowing chamber with tobacco loosening unit in PROTOS70 cigarette maker

In order to improve the separation efficiency of the secondary winnowing chamber in PROTOS70 cigarette maker, a winnowing chamber with a zigzag air passage was configured. A tobacco loosening unit was installed above the chamber to loosen tangled or stuck stems and shreds until they were completely separated. The application results showed that: 1) The shred content in rejected stems decreased from 5.02% to 3.48%. 2) The defective cigarettes with a hole punctured by sliver reduced by 27% in cigarette appearance inspection. Winnowing chamber with tobacco loosening unit effectively promoted the separation efficiency and further the appearance quality of cigarette.
