Ambient ionization mass spectrometry and its application in tobacco chemistry

  • To understand the ambient ionization mass spectrometry (AIMS) technology and its application in tobacco chemistry, the research progress of AIMS technology based on electrospray, plasma and laser ionization techniques were reviewed, and the representative and widely used AIMS techniques were introduced in detail. The applications of AIMS technology in tobacco chemistry in recent ten years were summarized. The future directions of AIMS technology in tobacco chemistry were prospected.
