Research progress on tobacco pest enteric microorganisms and their effects on parasitic system

  • The symbiotic relationships between insect enteric microorganisms and their hosts play important roles in the regulation of insect life activities. In order to explore the application potential and value of tobacco pest enteric microorganisms in the field of biological pest control, the research of insect and tobacco pest enteric microorganisms was presented and the research progress of insect and tobacco pest enteric microorganisms and their effects on the parasitic systems were reviewed from the perspectives of influencing factors, functions, and research methods. In the field of biological control of tobacco pests, the research prospects for using insect enteric microorganisms to cultivate dominant natural enemies and control tobacco pests were proposed as follows: 1) rejuvenation of parasitoid population; 2) endogenous mechanisms of enteric microorganisms; 3) gene expression mechanisms of enteric microorganisms.
