Rapid Determination of Calcium in Tobacco with Near Infrared Spectroscopy
-
Abstract
A mathematical prediction model of calcium in tobacco with FT-NIR spectrometry was established. The determination coefficient (R2) of the model was 92.00 and its root mean square error (RMSE) was 0.121 in cross validation, while the R2 and RMSE were 90.99 and 0.122 in test set validation, respectively. The average relative error between the prediction values of NIR spectrometry and the found results was 6.20%. This method was simple, rapid and accurate, it could be used to determine calcium in tobacco.
