Supercritical CO2 Extraction and Application of Aroma Constituents in Tea, Hunan Maojian

  • The optimal extracting conditions of aroma constituents in tea, "Hunan Maojian", were determined with supercritical CO2 fluid extraction technology in an L16(44) orthogonal experiment. The extract was analyzed by GC/MS and used as a tobacco flavor. The results showed that:1) the optimal extracting conditions were:pressure:35MPa, temperature:40℃, time:5h, the mass ratio of tea to absolute alcohol(entrainer):1:3, and the extracting yield was 6.15%;2) 24main aroma constituents, including alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, esters, nitrogenous heterocyclic compounds, were identified in the extract; and 3) the smoking quality of cigarette was obviously improved with enhanced aroma and mildness and reduced offensive taste and irritation.
