Application of Geranyl Glycoside in Cigarette Flavoring

Abstract

Abstract

In order to develop new cigarette flavors, the smoke analysis and sensory evaluation of cigarettes added with geranyl glycoside were conducted.The results showed that the geraniol was released at an even rate from the cigarettes containing geranyl-glycoside during smoking and roughly in proportion to the added amount, the flavor was abundant and full body.The conclusion was that geranyl glycoside could be used as a flavor material in cigarette flavoring.
