Application of On-Line FT-NIR Spectrometer in Primary Processing Line

  • The prediction models of moisture content, total alkaloid, total sugar and total nitrogen in cut tobacco during primary processing were established with its spectra acquired by on-line FT-NIR spectrometer. The mean relative errors between predictive values and determined values of moisture content, total alkaloid, total sugar and total nitrogen were 1.1%, 1.9%, 2.1%, and 1.7%, respectively. It indicated that on-line monitoring of the chemical components in cut tobacco during primary processing with on-line FT-NIR spectrometer was feasible.
