    Abstract
  • The principle and characteristics of matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization(MALDI) analysis and the selection of matrix were introduced.The application of MALDI in the analysis of biomacromolecular coumpounds(such as polypeptide, protein, nucleotide and saccharides), macromolecular compounds, low molecular substances and oligomers, and the application of MALDI in the tobacco industry were reviewed.
