Determination of Arsenic and Lead in Tipping Paper with Atomic Absorption Spectrometry

  • The methods for determining arsenic and lead in tipping paper with hydride generator atomic absorption spectroscopy or graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry were established. The results showed that: 1) the optimal determining condition for lead was: concentration of HNO3 in sample was 1.0% (v/v) and added with matrix improver; 2) the optimal condition for arsenic determination was: concentrations of HNO3 was 0.05mol/L and that of NaBH4 was 2.0% (g/g) in sample, concentration of HCl in carrying solution was 5.0% (v/v); and 3) the recoveries of arsenic and lead were in the range of 96.0%-103.0% with RSD≤6.65%.
