Screening of Antagonistic Bacteria Against Ralstonia solanacearum and Determination of Their Antibacterial Activities

  • In order to control Ralstonia solanacearum effectively, 15 antagonistic bacteria were isolated from the soil of tobacco field in Guizhou, where Ralstonia solanacearum did not occur or occurred later. The antibacterial substances of three strains (LCA-9, PCM-4 and SXM-2) with stronger antagonistic ability were extracted primarily and their antibacterial activities were tested. The results showed that the fermentive secretions of LCA-9, PCM-4 and SXM-2 could restrain Ralstonia solanacearum to a certain extent, and the fermentive secretion of SXM-2 possessed higher antibacterial activity and control effect.
