Bioactivity of Ailanthus altissima Bark Extract Against Lasioderma serricorne (F.) Adult

The bioactivity of Ailanthus altissima bark extract against Lasioderma serricorne (F.) adult was studied with Soxhlet extraction by using ether as an extractant. The results showed that: Ailanthus altissima bark extract assumed strong repellent activities against Lasioderma serricorne (F.) adult; 24, 48 and 72 hours after applying, the repellent rate achieved 93.71%, 87.75% and 76.14%, respectively. The effect of contact-killing was somewhat weak, while the effect of fumigation was strong, and the corrected mortality could reach 100% after 48-hour fumigating with the concentration of 1.00×10^-4.
