Simultaneous Determination of K⁺,Na⁺,Ca²⁺,Mg²⁺ and NH₄⁺ in Tobacco Leaves by Ion Chromatography

The K⁺,Na⁺,Ca²⁺,Mg²⁺ and NH₄⁺ in tobacco leaf samples were extracted with 5%(v/v) HCl under ultrasonic wave for 30 minutes,then separated on Dionex CS12A column,CG12A column and CSRS ULTRA Ⅱ,using 20mmol/L methyl sulphonic acid solution as an eluent with the flow rate of 0.25mL/min,and determined by IC.It was found that the recoveries of the ions were from 90.9% to 109.9% with RSDs of<6.22%.The method is suitable to rapid analysis of the ions in batches of tobacco samples.
