Application of Chromatographic Fingerprint Spectrum in Tobacco Flavor Quality Control

  • The components of samples from six batches of tobacco flavor HMT-2 were extracted with simultaneous distillation extraction and identified by GC/MS.The GC/MS fingerprint spectrum of HMT-2 was established,the similarity was calculated with Included Angle Cosine and Euclidean Distance,and the feasibility of applying chromatographic fingerprint spectrum in tobacco flavor qua-lity control was examined via mixing test.The results showed that:1) the fingerprint spectrum of the samples presented good stability,high similarity,and excellent characteristic and uniqueness;2) included Angle Cosine and Euclidean Distance were easy to calculation and programming,and provided an all-round assessment of the quality of tobacco flavor;3) fingerprint spectrum reflected the quality of tobacco flavor exactly and completely and might become an effective means for tobacco flavor quality control.
