Assessment of Uncertainty in Measurement of Dust Content in Cigarette

In order to examine the method for assessment of uncertainty of measurements in tobacco quality inspection and improve the reliability of test data,the uncertainty in measurement of dust content in cigarette was comprehensively analyzed.The major sources of uncertainty in dust content measurement were found out,and the process of uncertainty calculation and assessment of each component,of synthesis and of expansion was demonstrated.It was concluded that careful routine maintenance of instrument and equipment and strictly observing relevant standards and operating rules were effective means of uncertainty control.
