Robot-based Strips Case Unpacking System
-
Abstract
The semi-automatic strips case unpacking system now widely adopted in tobacco primary processing lines was lower in working efficiency and higher in labor intensity, and failed to meet the requirements of mass and continuous mechanized production. Therefore, the case unpacking system based on robot was designed, the major working procedures included pack strip removing and collection, case removing, collection of upper and lower paper liner;and emptied case folding and palletizing. The system comprised 3 major units, including a robot for pack strip detection and collection,a robot for case unpacking and a mechanism for emptied case folding and palletizing;the system featured smaller site area, higher automation and lower tobacco breakage, and was capable for handling cases of different sizes and deformed cases;its capacity was up to 40 cases per hour for the cases with 4 pack strips.
