Analysis of Basic Components in Mainstream Cigarette Smoke with LPME/MALDI-FTMS

In order to find a fast analyzing method,the basic components in cigarette mainstream smoke were analyzed qualitatively by liquid phase micro-extraction/matrix assisted laser desorption ionization/Fourier transform mass spectrometry (LPME/MALDI-FTMS).A single port smoking machine was modified and coupled with LPME device to carry out on line mainstream cigarette smoke sampling and analyzing.The results showed that this method was an alternative way to analyze basic components in mainstream cigarette smoke.
