Study on Technology for Tobacco Group Processing

  • In order to improve the level of process control and cigarette quality,the technology for tobacco group processing was studied.The process and processing parameters for each sub-blend group were tested.According to the results of sensory quality evaluation,the processing parameters in 3 key process steps (loosening and conditioning,ordering and casing,and cut tobacco drying) were determined.Comparing with the control,the puff number,deliveries of nicotine and tar of group processing samples reduced slightly and CO delivery decreased significantly.The sensory quality improved obviously,the flavour was smooth,the smoke was mild and glomerate,it offered enhanced shades of aroma and note of sweetness,the offensive odor and irritation reduced obviously,and aftertaste improved in a sort.Furthermore,the cost of casing decreased by 25%.
