Isolation and Identification of 3-Oxo-α-ionol-β-D-glucopyranoside from Tobacco and Analysis of its Pyrolytic Products

3-Oxo-α-ionol-β-D-gluco pyranoside was isolated from Zimbabwean flue-cured tobacco with methanol extraction and preparation chromatography at normal,middle and high pressure,its yield was about 34 μg/g based on dry weight of tobacco.The molecular structure of the compound was identified with ESI-MS,UV,IR,and NMR.The compound was pyrolyzed in He atmosphere and analyzed by GC/MS.The results showed that the compound was the target product and its major pyrolytic product was megastigmatrie-nones and the minor was 3-oxo-α-ionol.
