Comprehensive Evaluation of Flue-cured Tobacco Chemical Quality Based on Principal Component Analysis and Cluster Analysis
-
Abstract
In order to evaluate the chemical quality of flue-cured tobacco comprehensively, the contents of 13 chemical components in 53 flue-cured tobacco samples were analyzed by principal component analysis with DPS(data processing system) software.Six principal components with accumulative contribution rate over 90% were obtained, also obtained were the scores of the six principal components and comprehensive scores of the tobacco samples. The Euclidian distance between the comprehensive scores was taken as a measurement of tobacco samples' difference, the system was clustered by barycenter method and the 53 samples were divided into 5 ranks:rank 1 was of the best chemical quality with comprehensive scores ≥1.34,the comprehensive score ranges of the second to fifth ranks were 0.50 to 0.93,0 to 0.44,-0.79 to 0.20,and ≤-0.91,respectively.
