Ultra High Pressure Extraction of Aroma Constituents in Tobacco

  • In order to extract aroma constituents in tobacco quickly and efficiently,the experiments on the extraction of aroma constituents in tobacco with ultra high pressure extraction(UHPE) were conducted and the extracting conditions were optimized with response surface methodology.The results showed that the optimal extraction conditions were:pressure 380 MPa(20 minutes),solvent 75% ethanol,and the ratio of solvent to tobacco 15.The total yield of aroma constituents was 180.9 μg/g(theoretical) or 179.8 μg/g(actual).
