Reducing Breakage Rate of Strips During Redrying

  • In order to reduce the strips breakage during redrying,KG234 strips redryer was fine adjusted after a normal setting,including:1) optimizing mechanical structure;2) varying thickness of tobacco layer and drying time;3) adjusting the air velocity at apron surface according to the technological parameters at each drying section;4) setting the opening of fresh air valve and exhaust valve to control the dissipation of moisture.The results showed that:the breakage rate of redried strips of high and middle grades was under 3% after improving,and that of low grade strips was below 4%.
