Source Analysis of Quality Variance in Licensed Cigarette Brand Production

In order to analyze the cigarette quality consistency in licensed brand production, the monthly and inter-factory quality data were taken as two independent factors and analyzed with variance analysis and multiple comparison, and the comprehensive evaluation was concluded accordingly. The results showed that:1) the difference of quality consistence of brand X was mainly caused by inter-factory fluctuation, and the inter-factory variances descended in the order of routine chemical index> mainstream smoke index> sensory quality index; 2) the moisture content in smoke related to the ambient temperature and humidity and negatively correlated with the after taste of cigarette; 3) the moisture content in smoke during the turn of seasons was one of the key factors which affected the monthly quality consistency. It suggested that the variance of moisture content in smoke caused by the climate and geographic differences between the factories involved in the licensed production is a noticeable factor.
