Electric Control for Automatic Film Splicer in YB55 Packer

  • In YB 55 packer the film splicing device was manually operated, the upstream machine, ZB45 hard packet packer, had to be stopped to allow film splicing operation, it caused efficiency loss. An automatic pneumatic film splicer with PLC controller was developed. An electromagnetic valve was used to control the action of pneumatic splicing, V/F module to slow down ZB45 to the speed of splicing. The practical application indicated that the machine ran steadily, its operation efficiency raised from 78.2% to 82.5%, the film consumption per 10000 cigarettes decreased from 0.206 kg to 0.202 kg, the time needed for each film splicing reduced from 2 minutes to less than 40 seconds, and the operational work was reduced accordingly.
