Catalytic Synthesis of Dihydroactinidiolide by Silicotungstic Acid

  • The factors influencing the synthesis of dihydroactionidiolide from β-ionone, with silicotungstic acid(STA)as a catalyst and peroxyacetic acid as an oxidant, including the proportion of β-ionone to catalyst, reaction time and temperature, mixing time and quantity of peroxyacetic acid were investigated.It indicated that the optimum synthetic conditions were:10.0 g β-ionone in 30 mL peroxyacetic acid(mixed for 24 hours)reacted in the presence of 1.5 g STA at 40℃ for 6 hours, under which the yield of dihydroactinidiolide was 53.9 %, which was 20.4 percentage points higher than the synthetic process reported in literatures.
