Design and Application of Pre-folding System for Rounded Corner Packet in YB45 Packer

When rounded corner packets are produced in YB45 packer,special designed blank shape and packaging form will affect the proper positioning of blank and packet forming in No.5 packaging wheel.Therefore,a pre-folding system was designed,a set of pre-folding rollers and a spiral spreader were added in the longitudinal path of blank transportation,where the 7 notch lines on the blank were pre-folded and then flattened.The dead fold remained on the blank helped proper blank positioning in No.5 wheel.The practical application showed that the number of rejected defective packets reduced from 20 to 4 packets per hour,and the machine stability and efficiency were improved.
